Man arrested in critical injuring of teen in accidental shooting, Baton Rouge Police say

A man was arrested in connection with the accidental shooting of a teen, who remains in critical condition, Baton Rouge Police said.

Corey Williams, 24, was booked into East Baton Rouge Prison on counts of negligent injuring and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, police said in a news release.

Williams was with several people in the bedroom of a home in the 3800 block of Ozark Street on Wednesday, trying to modify a firearm, when it accidentally discharged, striking a 17-year-old male in the head, police said in a news release…
