NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A new owner holds the keys to The Willows apartments in New Orleans East. The long-troubled complex was auctioned off on Friday, four years after the FOX 8 Defenders first began investigating the property and residents’ complaints about deplorable living conditions.
Paying $3.75 million at a public auction in federal court, Los Angeles resident Mikael Pyles says he has big plans for The Willows apartment complex in New Orleans East.
“Our goal is to bring it back up to quality standards, to revitalize, to beautify it and make it a proud pillar of the community like it should be,” Pyles explained…
