A man who shot and killed an Uber driver on the Northeast Side was sentenced to life in prison three years since the slaying.
Dominique Croom, 33, was found guilty in the murder of Robert Carbonell Diaz on Feb. 6 after a week-long trial. A judge handed down his life sentence on Friday, according to the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office.
“Robert Diaz was going about his day, working to earn a living, when his life was taken,” said Joe Gonzales, Bexar County District Attorney. “Our office is committed to seeking justice for victims and their families, and this case reflects that commitment.”…
