ANN ARBOR, MI – A University of Michigan student lounge bears the name of now embattled farm workers’ rights advocate César Chávez.
While no decision has been made yet on a possible name removal, the university is aware of allegations made this week in the New York Times that Chávez sexually abused two girls and one woman.
