From Cannabis Kingpin to Floral Frontrunner: Entrepreneur Jason Draizin Blooms in New Venture

Jason Draizin, a name synonymous with building some of the biggest brands in legal cannabis, is now bringing his Midas touch to a surprisingly different industry: wholesale flowers. Long before he was orchestrating the distribution of fresh-cut blooms, Draizin spent over a decade shaping the legal cannabis landscape, a journey that saw him launching award-winning vape brands and forging crucial connections between growers and concentrate companies.

Draizin played a pivotal role in the success of Kingpen, the multi-award-winning vape cartridge brand recognized by High Times Cannabis Cup. He also collaborated with Loud Pack Farms, connecting them with legendary genetics companies like DNA Genetics and Crockett Family Farms. “I brought together the deal for the first legal concentrate company and legal marijuana farms,” Draizin stated on Tuesday, March 10, emphasizing his ability to unite “the oldest and best genetics companies in California and Amsterdam.”

His expertise extended to building comprehensive operations, overseeing everything from cultivation to the final product on store shelves. Draizin was also a key figure in industry events, including organizing at the High Times Cannabis Cup and co-founding the “industry’s first” nationwide joint rolling contest with Bambu Rolling Papers and PotLocator.

In 2009, Draizin founded MarijuanaDoctors.com, which quickly became one of the nation’s leading medical cannabis patient resources, attracting over a million qualified visitors monthly before its acquisition by Veriheal in 2022.

After a successful exit from the cannabis industry, Draizin briefly ventured into psychedelic therapy, focusing on ketamine treatment for depression. However, his latest move marks a significant shift. He recently acquired Blooms USA, a wholesale floral company with over 30 years of experience distributing fresh-cut flowers to supermarkets and retailers nationwide.

Draizin believes the same strategic instincts that propelled his success in cannabis are precisely what the $19 billion floral industry needs. “I know farms.

I know distribution. I know how to move product from the ground to the shelf,” Draizin explained.

“The flower business isn’t that different from what I was already doing.”

With Blooms USA based in Florida, and Draizin’s proven track record of scaling businesses, it’s clear this new venture is poised for significant growth under his leadership.
