Carlos “Chuck” Norris, who famously portrayed tough-as-nails characters on screen, passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the age of 86.
To his fans, he was Walker, Texas Ranger. To the citizens of Clay County, Florida, he was Deputy Norris—a multifaceted member of the Sheriff’s Office who served the community with distinction. According to a tribute released by the CCSO, Norris was involved in multiple high-level roles throughout his tenure, including the SWAT team, K-9 handling, the dive team, and the intelligence unit.
