MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man from Bosnia and Herzegovina has been arrested in south Alabama for allegedly committing crimes against Serbian civilians during the Bosnian War.

Hamdija Alukic was arrested on Wednesday, March 18.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, Alukic allegedly attacked groups of Serbian civilians on two separate occasions with other members of a Bosnian Muslim paramilitary group in 1992.
Members of the group entered the town of Kozarac to get food and supplies on Aug. 29, 1992. While there, Alukic allegedly suggested they ambush a car and kill the driver. The members then reportedly opened fire on the car, causing it to veer off the road into a ditch…
