CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — A large brush fire reported on Sunny Drive grew to more than 40 acres Friday night, a Chatham County Fire Department (CCFD) spokesperson reported.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of Sunny Dr. at 7:28 p.m. Upon arrival, they saw visible flames and smoke, officials said.
Around 9:30 p.m., a CCFD spokesperson said the fire had topped 40 acres of involvement and the scene had been turned over to the Georgia Forestry Commission…
