Federal authorities join Northbrook home invasion probe; persons of interest in custody

Multiple federal agencies are assisting local law enforcement with investigating a home invasion in north suburban Northbrook, authorities said.

Northbrook police said at around 2 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a home invasion in the 1900 block of Butternut Lane. The suspects fled the area before officers arrived.

Illinois State Police said troopers located the suspects’ vehicle along Interstate 94 southbound near 75th Street in Chicago on Friday afternoon – but the driver refused to pull over and led them on a chase. The vehicle eventually came to a stop on the 12000 Block of South Wallace Avenue in Chicago’s West Pullman neighborhood, where the occupants fled into a home, prompting a SWAT response…
