Scott vehicle crash into home leaves person inside critically injured; medical emergency suspected

SCOTT, La. (NEWS 15) — A person, who was in bed when a vehicle crashed into a home, is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, while the driver is expected to recover, according to the Scott Fire Department.

Fire Chief Chad Sonnier reported it is believed the driver suffered a medical emergency, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash into the home on Notre Dame Drive near Westgate Road on Saturday, March 21, just before 11 a.m.

He said a person inside the home was seriously injured after getting pinned beneath the vehicle. He added the driver, who was trapped inside the vehicle, was freed and taken to a local hospital but his injuries are not considered life-threatening…
