Papillion La Vista Community Schools Superintendent Dr. Rikli recently visited Hickory Hill Elementary School to take part in Liberty Day, a hands-on learning event where fifth graders study the Revolutionary War and the foundations of the U.S. government. During the visit, Dr. Rikli led discussions that encouraged students to share what they already knew, ask new questions, and reflect on what they learned. The event is part of the district’s effort to make history lessons more interactive and meaningful for young learners.
