Spokane, WA – A large custom metal T. rex statue was reportedly stolen from a landscaped roundabout in Spokane County, prompting an active investigation and a public appeal for information.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded Sunday, March 8, 2026, at approximately 12:05 p.m. to a reported theft at the intersection of North Dupont Road and North Mellon Parkway. Investigators said the statue, described as a custom-made metal dinosaur, was allegedly taken sometime earlier that day between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.
