SHENANDOAH, Va. (WHSV) – A corporal with the Page County Drug Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop Thursday that led to the arrest of an Elkton man for drug possession with intent to distribute, according to a release from the Page County Sheriff’s Office.
The traffic stop happened on Pennsylvania Avenue in the town of Shenandoah and was conducted because the vehicle had no Virginia State Inspection, according to the PCSO. An officer and a sergeant, who’s also a K-9 handler, with the Shenandoah Police Department met the corporal, and the K-9 positively alerted to the presence of narcotics from the vehicle.
Cody Campbell of Elkton was asked to exit the vehicle and complied when asked to remove his hands from his pockets. In plain view in Campbell’s hand, PCSO said, was a bag containing “a substantial quality of crystal-like substance.” All three law enforcement officers had to assist each other to handcuff Campbell and take him into custody, PCSO added…
