GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — In their vests, with eyes trained and noses wet, service dogs help people with disabilities every day.
But the companions that could be the difference between life and death, in some cases, are proving to be a barrier.
More businesses are turning the dogs and the people they help away, according to nonprofit Dogs With a Cause.
