Lancaster County man will stand trial for 2025 wrong-way crash that injured woman

LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster County man charged with severely injuring a woman after crashing into her vehicle while under the influence of drugs will have his case proceed to county court after waiving his preliminary hearing.

Mark Saylor, of East Cocalico Township, waived his preliminary hearing before Judge Jonathan Heisse on March 2, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

Saylor, 56, is charged with:

  • One count of aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence
  • Three counts of driving under the influence
  • One count of accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle
  • Two counts of recklessly endangering another person
  • One count of reckless driving
  • One count of careless driving
  • One count of driving the wrong way
  • One count of failing to stop and give aid
  • One count of aggravated assault by vehicle
