BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — Law enforcement and aviation are both male-dominated fields, but there is a group of women a part of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) who don’t look at statistics. Instead, they’ve taken on the challenge of flying and serving the community.
The group of women holds the title of Tactical Flight Officers (TFO) as part of the sheriff’s office aviation division. It’s a separate position from their Monday-Friday duties within the department.
