Great Plains Action Society dedicates Resilience Hub, mutual aid garden with performers

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Community members gathered Saturday in Iowa City for an Indigenous-led celebration marking the spring equinox and the opening of a new community space.

The Great Plains Action Society hosted a Land Liberation Celebration and “hub blessing” at 810 Maiden Lane, dedicating its Resilience Hub and mutual aid garden. The event centered on themes of rematriation, healing justice and mutual aid.
