First of all, I will be honest in stating that I rarely, if ever, really, go into Aldi. I hear so many good things about the stores. Including that they have great produce, the meats aren’t bad either, along with some pretty amazing price points. I don’t have anything against Aldi, it’s just not on my radar for grocery stores.
This, however, has my interest piqued. I heard that there are some knock-off girl scout cookie flavors there that are available all year, not just at the “girl scout cookie season”.
YOU CAN GET VERSIONS OF GIRL SCOUT COOKIES ALL YEAR ROUND
The brand at Aldi is Benton’s Brand. And they have four flavors that completely mimic four of the Girl Scout cookie flavors.
Think Caramel Coconut Fudge as a stand-in for Samoas, Peanut Butter Fudge as a Tagalongs dupe, Peanut Butter Crème similar to Do-si-dos and Fudge Mint that fans compare to Thin Mints.
NOT JUST GIRL SCOUT COOKIES – THERE ARE VERSIONS OF MANY POPULAR COOKIES
And people who have done some side by side comparisons have come up with Aldi not only tasting VERY close to the original Girl Scout Cookies, but the price is so much better too. Girl Scout cookies are now costing about $6 or $7 bucks a box, depending on where you are, to the Aldi price point of just $1.50 to $2.50 depending on the cookie. They also have similar cookies to Nutter Butters, Oreos and more – even popular holiday cookies!
