Allegedly impaired driver stopped after reckless pursuit in Sweet Home

SWEET HOME, Ore. – A 32-year-old Linn County woman was arrested Wednesday night for allegedly engaging Linn County sheriff’s deputies in a chase through Sweet Home while impaired at more than twice the legal limit, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

LCSO officials said a deputy spotted a 2010 grey Mazda 3 traveling at high speed on Highway 228 at about 7:42 p.m. on March 18. The vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic, prompting a pursuit, sheriff’s officials said. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Rachel Adams, eventually stopped on Upper Calapooia Drive. She was arrested and found with a blood alcohol content of .20%, more than twice the legal limit, authorities said.
