WESTLAND, MICHIGAN — A familiar fast-food name is preparing a significant return to Metro Detroit, as Jack in the Box moves forward with plans to open multiple locations across the region, starting with a new site in Westland.
The company has identified Westland as the first confirmed location tied to its broader five-store expansion across the Detroit-area market. The new restaurant is expected to open later this year at the site of a former Wendy’s on North Wayne Road near Warren Avenue.

Construction activity is already underway at the Westland site, signaling that the long-anticipated return is moving closer to reality. The location, previously occupied by Wendy’s, is being redeveloped to accommodate the incoming Jack in the Box restaurant.
