An embattled city clerk may return to work after council members refused to support her suspension by the mayor.
The Tarrant City Council Thursday evening overruled the four-day suspension of City Clerk Laverne Knight that was given last week by Mayor Tracie Threadford.
Details of Knight’s conflict with the mayor are sparse as Threadford declined to comment on personnel matters. At the meeting Thursday night Threadford did not call Knight’s name as she presented the motion to support her suspension…
