Mom of PPD officer’s child alerted pregnant girlfriend of HIV status

The Pensacola police officer charged with not informing his partner of his HIV status allegedly never told his girlfriend until after she was pregnant.

Officer Pierce Cotton, a patrol officer for the PPD, was arrested March 13 for allegedly failing to inform a sexual partner he had HIV. Police records indicate he didn’t tell his new partner about having HIV for at least four months after they began the sexual relationship and had conceived a child…
