Last night, a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Larimer neighborhood left a man with a gunshot wound to the neck and a block full of unanswered questions.
Police say officers were called to the 200 block of Larimer Avenue around 9:45 p.m. for reports of gunfire. By the time they arrived, the victim was already gone, driven from the scene before first responders pulled up. He later turned up at a hospital, where officials say he is in stable condition.
Police: Victim Dropped Off, Shell Casing on Front Porch
According to WTAE, the victim is an adult man who had been shot in the neck. Officers went into a home on the 200 block of Larimer Avenue but did not find anyone inside.
Investigators did recover a shell casing from the front porch, a key piece of physical evidence as detectives work to piece together what happened. Pittsburgh police say the shooting remains an active and ongoing investigation.
