Today, a multi-vehicle crash in South San José turned deadly, leaving one person dead and several others badly hurt while shutting down a key stretch of South White Road for hours. The collision, reported near Lieb Court, drew a heavy emergency response as first responders worked on multiple victims and cleared mangled vehicles. Drivers moving through the Story Road corridor found themselves stuck in long backups as officers locked down the area to investigate.
According to San José Police Media Relations, the crash occurred around S White Road and Lieb Ct and “one involved occupant was pronounced deceased on scene.” Several other occupants were rushed to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.
