London Police Investigate Arson on Jewish Community Ambulances as Antisemitic Hate Crime

LONDON – Metropolitan Police in London are investigating an apparent arson attack that damaged four ambulances belonging to Hatzalah, a Jewish community ambulance service, in the early hours of Monday morning. Authorities are treating the incident as an antisemitic hate crime.

No injuries were reported, and the fires have since been brought under control, police confirmed. As a precaution, several nearby homes were evacuated during the incident.

Police Superintendent Sarah Jackson stated that while no arrests have yet been made, investigators believe three suspects were involved in the attack. “We know this incident will cause a great deal of community concern,” Jackson said in a statement, assuring residents that officers remain on scene to conduct urgent inquiries. Police are actively examining CCTV footage and are aware of related online videos.

Reports from the scene indicated explosions during the fire, which police believe were linked to gas canisters present on the ambulances.

The investigation is ongoing.
