BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Community leaders, developers, and residents gathered Saturday morning in Scotlandville to break ground on a new housing development aimed at expanding living options for Southern University students.
The project, known as the Cottages at Ravelle Homes, will feature four cottage-style homes with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Leaders say the development is designed to provide student-focused housing while encouraging growth and investment in north Baton Rouge.
