The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the arrest of Nicholas Y. Steffen, 24, of Kansas City, Missouri, at 2:51 a.m. on March 22, 2026, in Moniteau County. He was charged with driving while intoxicated (alcohol), felony leaving the scene of an accident with property damage over $1,000, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, and failing to drive on the right half of the roadway. Steffen was taken to the Moniteau County Jail and later released.
