With playoff positioning on the line, LOVB Nebraska delivered a clutch performance Friday night, defeating LOVB Austin 3-1 at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park to take control of fourth place in the League One Volleyball standings.
Nebraska (7-9) won the opening two sets 25-13 and 25-18 before Austin responded with a dominant third set, but the visitors closed strong in the fourth to secure the win (25-21) and move ahead of Austin (7-10) in the race for the final playoff spot.
With only the top four teams advancing to the 2026 LOVB Playoffs, Friday’s result looms large as the two teams are in the chase for the final playoff spot. They will meet again in the regular-season finale on April 4 in Omaha…
