Update: I-44 westbound reopened about 9:15 p.m. making the incident about 5 1/2 hours.
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — Just before 4 p.m. Sunday reports of a serious semi crash and fire I-44 WB near 41MM alerted E-911.
Stotts City Fire, Mount Vernon Fire, Freistatt Fire, Mount Vernon Ambulance District and Lawrence County Deputies responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.
