FIRST ALERT FORECAST – Extreme Heat Warning has ended but 90s hang around

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Extreme Heat Warning ends at 8PM this evening. With our high of the day at 100° in Tucson, we beat another daily record high which was previously 91° back in 2018. Temperatures are back down into the 90s through the 7-day which is still record breaking and well above where they should be. The warmest period will be Wed-Thu when high pressure recenters back over Arizona. However, this time it won’t sit stagnant over us. It shifts to the east by the end of the coming workweek.

Into next weekend, southerly upper-level winds will bring moisture into Southern Arizona. There’s a 20% chance of rain for next Sunday. Rain is also looking possible that following Monday and Tuesday. We’ll continue to track those precipitation chances and keep you updated!
