Lehigh Valley music fans are abuzz at the return of Bethlehem indie rockers VoirVoir, set to perform at the Funhouse in Bethlehem on March 28.
The band is no stranger to buzz – nearly a decade ago they were surrounded by it. They played Austin’s prestigious South by Southwest Festival, opened for Flaming Lips at Musikfest, had a cool record label, and a video featured on WXPN. They were Bandcamp’s “album of the day,” which introduced them to a huge audience around the country, resulting in more offers than they could accept. Then, they more or less stopped playing.
“Life got in the way,” says VoirVoir’s singer/guitarist Matt Molchany, who formed the band with his partner April Smith back in 2013. “I had been in bands forever by then.”…
