TAMPA, Florida — An anonymous tip led to the shutdown of an illegal narcotics operation in Tampa, resulting in multiple arrests.
The investigation began on January 28, 2026, when deputies received an anonymous tip, which initiated a multi-week undercover operation. During the investigation, deputies purchased products containing 7-hydroxymitragynine and substances that tested positive for synthetic cannabinoids, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
