Nearly 7K without power after storms, high winds hit Tri-State

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Nearly 7,000 Duke Energy customers are waking up in the dark after storms and high winds blew through the Tri-State late Sunday.

Winds gusted up to 58 mph just before midnight at Lunken Airport in Cincinnati, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

As of 4:45 a.m. Monday, 6,892 customers are without power, according to Duke Energy’s website…
