Trial for suspect accused in deadly shooting of viral Garfield Heights father

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The jury trial for the man accused in the fatal shooting of a young Garfield Heights father, is scheduled to begin Monday in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

Wuanyae Arrington, 30, was indicted on the charges of aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, and having weapons while under disability for the murder of Jose Ervin Jr.

Ervin was killed following an argument with Arrington around 2:45 a.m. on Oct. 4, 2024 near Turney and McCracken Roads, according to Garfield Heights police.
