LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Zee has been with Metro Animal Services since October. She was one of 12 dogs surrendered to the shelter after being pulled from a Rowan Street duplex during a drug raid in October.
She was in the shelter for about a week before going into foster care, where she’s been for almost five months.
“She, unfortunately, came from a situation where there were 19 other dogs and she was rescued from some very unsavory moments,” said David Payne, Executive Director of Friends of Metro Animal Services. “So, it’s good that she’s now in this great foster home, and she shows the utmost resilience from what she experienced to get where she is now. It’s truly a testament to not only the foster team, but an animal like her that can still find love coming from terrible situation.”…
