Bedford County Board of Supervisor member urges delay in Stewartsville Elementary closure

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A member of the Bedford County Board of Supervisors is calling for a delay in the planned closure of Stewartsville Elementary School, arguing that more time is needed to ensure a smooth transition for students and families.

Supervisor Edgar Tuck said he wants officials to consider postponing the closure by one year, following the March 12 approval of the decision to shut down the school.
