FRANKLIN PARK — On a cold February afternoon, Maria Lopez gathered bouquets of dried flowers, adjusted prayer candles and wiped dirt off the signs at Silverio Villegas González’s Franklin Park memorial.
Lopez is part of Hijas Del Pueblo, a group of women who have been working to keep Villegas González’s memory alive after a federal immigration agent fatally shot the 38-year-old father of two in September.
