Austin dog rescue says they need homes for at least 50 dogs

AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin nonprofit is putting out an urgent plea after it said about 50 dogs are in need of foster care.

Rescue ATX Dogs (RAD) posted a video on its Instagram page showing dogs with matted fur and in need of medical attention over the weekend.

“We are looking for fosters, adopters, people that aren’t able to foster or adopt, but they want to donate and provide for their care,” said Kristal Bird, director of Rescue ATX Dogs. “These types of situations where the dogs have not been taken care of for a while end up costing a lot of money.”
