Two St Joseph residents were injured and taken to the hospital following a four-vehicle accident which totaled three of the vehicles Sunday afternoon in Platte County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 21-year-old Olathe, Kansas female driver and a 40-year-old Columbus, Nebraska female driver had slowed their vehicles for congested traffic at Exit 20 off I-29 and a third vehicle, driven by a 70-year-old male driver from St Joseph hit the back of the Columbus, Nebraska driver’s vehicle. That impact caused her vehicle to chain react and hit the back of the Olathe, Kansas driver’s car. A fourth vehicle, driven by a 72-year-old Bedford male driver also hit the back of the St Joseph driver’s vehicle. The St Joseph driver and a 48-year-old female occupant of that vehicle both had moderate injuries and were taken to Mosaic Medical Center.
The first three vehicles in the chain reaction accident were totaled. The other car had minor damage and was driven from the scene…
