The Milwaukee Common Council approved a wide range of measures during its latest meeting. Highlights include funding for more than $57 million in public improvement projects, creation of new Tax Incremental Districts 130 and 131 to support development in the 12th Aldermanic District, and an agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the Hopkins Protected Bike Lane project. The Council also extended the Active Streets for Businesses Program, approved a lease amendment for a site at 3929 S. 6th Street, and supported a new universally accessible playground called Stella’s Playground.
