Man accused of placing hidden camera in women’s dressing room at TJ Maxx

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A former employee of the Machesney Park TJ Maxx store has been accused of placing a camera in the women’s dressing room.

Winnebago County State’s Attorney J Hanley announced Monday that a Grand Jury had indicted Jeffrey Wallin, 37, on charges of unauthorized video recording and live video transmission, unlawful video of a residence, and obstruction of justice.

According to authorities, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office was called to the store, in the 1000 block of W. Lane Road, in February after the small camera was found in the ceiling tiles of one of the rooms. Police noted the camera did not have an SD card in the device when they found it.
