Cloudy and cool start to the work week

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Jake Dunne says it is a mostly cloudy and chilly Monday morning across Kansas, and the day ahead will follow suit. While afternoon temperatures in the lower 60s are near normal for late March, they are also much cooler than what we had on Saturday and Sunday.

As southerly winds return to the state tomorrow, so will warmer temperatures. Highs in the lower to middle 70s on Tuesday will be followed by middle to upper 80s on Wednesday. A mix of sun and clouds on Tuesday will give way to mainly sunny skies on Wednesday.

Another (strong) cold front will sweep across the state later this week, most likely on Thursday night. Ahead of the front, temperatures will soar into the 90s on Thursday afternoon alongside strong and gusty winds from the south. A few storms are possible Thursday night, mainly across south central and southeast Kansas, but most areas will stay dry…
