Predawn Gunfire Rocks South Tacoma, Teen Hurt, Man Fighting for Life

Two people were hit by gunfire in separate early morning shootings across South Tacoma on Saturday, keeping first responders busy before sunrise. Around 1 a.m., officers responded to reports of shots near Fawcett Avenue and South 86th Street, where a 17-year-old girl was found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. About two and a half hours later, at roughly 3:30 a.m., officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound near the 4300 block of South Pine Street; he was taken to a local hospital and listed in critical condition.
