WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – Washtenaw County leaders and Sheriff Alyshia Dyer have reached a settlement in a legal fight over who controls human resources in Dyer’s office but scrutiny of alleged personnel issues will continue.
Following a lawsuit settlement reached last week, an outside law firm retained by Washtenaw County will conduct an independent review of an alleged incident involving former Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jeremy Yono, according to county board Chair Katie Scott.
Yono was subject to a criminal sexual assault investigation by Michigan State Police related to a relationship with a subordinate, but county prosecutors did not authorize charges. He has resigned…
