BOSTON (SHNS) – Unionized caregivers and teachers at a pediatric hospital that the Healey administration attempted to shutter last year say they have “zero confidence” in the state’s public health chief.
Staff at the state-run Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children overwhelmingly took a vote of no confidence in Public Health Commissioner Robbie Goldstein, the Massachusetts Nurses Association announced Monday. More than 95% of staff represented by the MNA, SEIU Local 509 and AFSCME Council 93 voted in favor of a petition that said Goldstein’s “actions represent the abandonment of the vital Mission of Pappas.”
