A national parking services and management company will lay off over 180 workers when it stops operating at the Charlotte airport.
By June 30 AmeriPark and Republic Parking will no longer manage a parking facility at 5601 Wilkinson Blvd., which is steps away from the terminals at Charlotte Douglas Airport.
With the closure, 188 employees will be laid off, according to an N.C. Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) report received on March 20 by the North Carolina Department of Commerce. The report was posted on Monday, March 23.
