Hundreds of Teens Flood North Carolina Mall, Disrupt Traffic and Climb on Cars

Around 200-300 teens took over the streets in Birkdale Village, a shopping district in Huntersville, North Carolina, blocking cars and even dancing on them when drivers tried to pass through. The police have adopted drastic measures to ensure teenagers do not take over the streets again.

Gone are the days when street takeovers were about underground car mod competitions or drifting at intersections in the middle of the night. The modern version looks more like hundreds of people mobbing city streets and preventing people from going about their business. Not to forget potential damage to public and private property, litter strewn throughout, violent clashes with the police, and multiple arrests.
