Man dies following shooting on Cleveland’s east side, 1 person in custody

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A man has died following a shooting on Cleveland’s east side Monday, Cleveland officials confirmed to FOX 8 News.

The shooting reportedly took place in the area of East 152nd Street and Waterloo Avenue just after 1 p.m., Cleveland police said.

Fugitive wanted for kidnapping, attempted murder

First responders found a 45-year-old man with a gunshot wound and Cleveland EMS began rendering aid. However, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police confirmed.

A gun was reportedly found at the scene and police said they have taken a suspect into custody. Charges have not been made official. It was not clear what led to the shooting.
