Ostrich on the loose in central Ohio, sheriff’s office says

MADISON COUNTY, Ohio — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office helped corral an ostrich that was on the loose for a couple of hours Monday.

The sheriff’s office posted on Facebook at 12:50 p.m., saying the ostrich was loose in the area of Lafayette Plain City and Taylor Blair roads.

The sheriff’s office was initially searching for the ostrich’s owner, but around 2 p.m., Sheriff John Swaney said they were in contact. Two deputies helped corral the ostrich, Swaney said…
