A popular Grand Rapids food truck is currently out of commission after suffering a devastating fire over the weekend.

On Saturday, March 21, the folks behind popular food truck Street Chef Shawtook to social media to share that their food truck had been involved in a fire.
They say that the truck is a total loss.
No one was hurt in the fire, but it rendered the food truck completely unusable. And, according to the social media post, “this truck wasn’t just equipment – it was our livelihood, our passion, and a big part of our story.”
The food truck, run by founder, owner, and executive chef Kirel Shaw, offered up tacos, quesadillas, burritos, ramen, kachumbari, chapatti, and more…
